1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the Aguinal-DUE mobile app for Android and iOS (the "App") and to this website. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the developer of Aguinal-DUE. "You" means the person using the App.
The App is an inaanak roster and pamasko tracker. It helps you keep a list of your godchildren, plan a Christmas gift budget, prepare cash envelopes, and record the gifts you give.
2. Information the app handles
The App only works with information that you type in or choose to add. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your profile | The name you want to be called, your role (Ninong or Ninang), and the Christmas year you're planning for | To personalize the App's text and badges |
| Inaanak details | Name, nickname, birthday, relationship, the parent's name, closeness tier, avatar or photo | To build your roster and remind you of birthdays |
| Wishlists and sizes | Gift ideas, optional shop links, clothing and shoe sizes, favorite color, notes | To help you choose gifts |
| Gifts and budget | Amounts, gift items, dates, delivery method, thank-you status, notes and photos, your total budget and tier amounts | To plan your budget, prepare envelopes, and keep receipts |
| Reminders | Reminder titles and dates | To show notifications you've asked for |
| App settings | Sound, notification and photo-privacy preferences, and which premium packs are unlocked | To remember how you like the App to work |
All of this is optional except a name for each inaanak. A nickname is fine.
3. Where your data is stored
Everything listed above is saved in the App's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any server we operate. We do not have a copy, and we cannot view, recover or restore it for you.

Because nothing is stored with us, uninstalling the App or losing your phone also removes your data. Use Settings › Share backup file to keep a copy you control.
Your device may include App data in its own system backup, such as Android device backup or iCloud backup, depending on your phone's settings. Those backups are managed by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies, not by us.
4. What we don't collect
- We do not require or create an account.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs.
- We do not show ads or use your device's advertising ID.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing activity.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.
5. Device permissions
The App asks for permissions only when a feature needs them. You can decline or change them later in your phone's settings, and the rest of the App keeps working.
| Permission | When it's used |
|---|---|
| Camera | Only when you choose "Take a photo" for an inaanak profile, a gift, or a gift-giving moment. |
| Photos / gallery | Only when you choose "From gallery". The App saves a copy of the selected picture in its private storage. |
| Notifications | To show reminders you've turned on, such as withdrawing bills, packing envelopes, and inaanak birthdays. Notifications are scheduled on the device itself and do not involve a server. |
| Run at startup | Android only. Lets scheduled reminders survive a phone restart. |
| File picker | Only when you choose "Restore from backup". The App uses your phone's system file picker and can only open the file you select. It does not get broad access to your storage. |
The App reads your device's time zone on the device so reminders arrive at the right local time. This is not sent anywhere.
6. Sharing and backups
Share cards and Wrapped
When you create a share card, badge or Pamasko Wrapped slide and tap share, the App creates an image and hands it to your phone's share sheet. You choose where it goes, for example Messenger, Facebook or Instagram. Once shared, that service's privacy policy applies.
Photos are private by default. A child's photo appears on a share card only if you choose it, and you can cover faces with stickers, use a cartoon avatar, or hide names. Before you share a card that includes a real photo, the App asks you to confirm you have permission from the child's parent or guardian.
Backup files
When you tap Share backup file, the App creates a file containing your roster, gifts, budget, reminders and settings, and opens your phone's share sheet so you can save or send it. Backup files do not include photos or premium pack unlocks.
Backup files are not encrypted. Treat them like any personal document and store them somewhere you trust. When you restore a backup, its contents replace the data currently in the App.
7. Purchases, tips and updates
Premium packs are sold through Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iOS. The store handles payment, and we never receive your card number, billing address or store account details.
To unlock a pack, the App receives a purchase confirmation from the store on your device and records the unlock locally. On Android, the App asks Google Play for your past purchases when it starts, so packs you've bought are restored automatically after reinstalling. On iOS, you can tap Restore. Your use of the store is covered by Google's Privacy Policy or Apple's Privacy Policy.
Pamasko para sa developer (tips)
Tips are optional and unlock nothing. On Android, choosing an amount opens PayPal in your browser or the PayPal app, outside the App. PayPal handles the payment under its own privacy policy, and, like anyone receiving a PayPal payment, we see the name, email address and note PayPal shares with the recipient. We use these only to keep records of the payment and to say thank you, and we don't link them to anything in the App. On iOS, tips are App Store purchases and work like premium packs, so we don't receive your details.
Updates and ratings
To keep the App up to date, it asks Google Play on Android, or the App Store on iOS, whether a newer version exists. Now and then it may also show the store's own rating prompt, and Settings has a link to the store listing. These features are provided by Google and Apple, which receive standard information such as the App's ID, version and your country. The App doesn't send them anything you've entered.
8. Children's information
Aguinal-DUE is made for adults who are godparents or gift-givers. It is not directed at children, and children should not use it to create their own profiles.
The App lets an adult record information about children, such as their names, birthdays and photos. That information stays on the adult's device and is never collected by us. If you add a child's information, please do so responsibly and with the knowledge of the child's parent or guardian, especially before sharing any image of them.
9. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can:
- Delete one inaanak from their profile. This also removes their wishlist, gift records and reminders.
- Delete everything with Settings › Reset all data. This removes every inaanak, gift, photo and reminder on the device.
- Uninstall the App, which removes its private storage from your phone.
Backup files you've exported and images you've shared are outside the App, so delete those separately if you want them gone.
10. Security
The App's data lives in your phone's sandboxed app storage, which other apps cannot read. Its security also depends on your device, so we recommend using a screen lock and keeping your phone's software up to date. Because we don't hold your data, there's no central database of App users that could be breached.
11. Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and similar laws elsewhere, you have rights to be informed about, access, correct, object to, and erase personal data, and to data portability.
Since your information is stored only on your device, you can exercise these rights directly in the App: view and edit anything, delete individual records or everything, and export a portable backup file. If you have questions or concerns, contact us using the details below. You may also contact the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
12. This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or third-party trackers, and its fonts and images are served from the site itself. If you pick "Ninong" or "Ninang" in the header, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the page remembers it. It never leaves your browser.
The demos on this page, like the Bagong Pera planner and the spin wheel, run entirely in your browser and don't send anything anywhere. The company hosting this website may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles information, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, such as adding a feature that sends data off your device, we'll tell you in the App before it takes effect.
